Time is of the Essence
J. L., one of the world’s top management consultants in the areas of corporate downsizing and land developing, has created his share of friends and enemies. His disappearance while flying his private plane and the resulting homicide investigation, based on substantiated evidence of sabotage, quickly cast doubts on the validity of several pending contracts. Dead men don’t make contracts − survivors do.
The personal and business lives of his three closest friends, a real estate agent, a stock broker and an insurance agent collide as they join rescue efforts to find their friend and decide how to proceed on their separate but still pending contracts. While they all are experts in their professional fields, their private lives hold deep secrets that surface. This is especially true of J. L.’s devoted secretary’s hidden love that drives the rescue efforts in the hope to find him alive before his assassin finishes the job.
This is a story of love lost and love gained told through the eyes of all characters directly affected by one central figure’s tragedy. As they learn during the ordeal, in order to find love one sometimes has to lose it and ? at other times ? one has to lose it to be able to find it. However; in either case, decisions must be made while you have the options to do so. Because even in personal lives, just like in business, everyone learns eventually that time is of the essence.
